The Event

The event name is AWS Community pre:Invent Warmup.

It is organized by following AWS User Groups:

The event is free of charge and opened to everyone.

It will be streamed online, on Septembet 9th 08:00 - 13:00 UTC.

Streaming platform is youtube and streaming link will be provided on main website in the button Connect to Event and will also be distributed within AWS User Group organizing the event.

Call for speakers is opened until August 17th, and sslected submisson will be announced no later then the end of August.



The Prize

The prize is called AWS re:Invent experience and consists of 3 parts:

1. Flight ticket

Maximum cap is $2,000
Economy class only

2. Hotel for 5 nights

Maximum cap is $1,000 for whole stay
Likely to be a hotel on Las Vegas Strip

3. AWS re:Invent voucher

All arrangements will be handled by the agency AWS is working with.
Winners do not need to purchase their flights, hotel, or event admission themselves if within the budget (flight $2000, hotel $1000).
Everything above the budget wouldn have to be paid by the winner, but the budget is created that it should cover it.

All other expences will be covered by the winners themselves (visa, transport to airport, meals, insurance, etc.).



Rules for being eligible to join the raffle

Each participant must be older than 18 years.

Each candidate must have a valid AWS Builder ID and must provide their builder profile during the raffle registration.

During each session, there will be a keyword displayed 2 times, for a limited amount of time.
The goal is to gather all the keywords and then provide them during the raffle registration.

Only candidate with existing builder profile and all keywords are eligible to join the raffle.

An example of valid answer:

keywords: s3 bucket, event, bedrock, ec2_instance, las vegas, clouid

UG leads co-organizing the event and amazon employees are automatically excluded.



The Raffle

After last prezentation, we will go over the main rules again.

The raffle registration will be opened during the last 60 minutes of the event (2pm - 3pm UTC +2) - canditates have only 60 minutes to join the raffle!

After the raffle registration is closed (3pm UTC +2), no more registrations are possible.

Core team will provide the raffle and results will be provided within next 2 hours by a Linkedin post and this page.

The winners themselves will be contacted officially by the Agency AWS is working with to continue with the process of ordering.

Final Authority
All decisions regarding eligibility, keyword validation, raffle entries, winner selection, and prize distribution are at the sole discretion of the event organizers.
The organizers reserve the right to modify the rules, disqualify entries, or cancel the raffle at any time without prior notice.
All decisions made by the organizers are final and binding.
